Suspension Bridge PC- Formally at the base of our Heritage Center, the International Suspension Bridge was crucial for freedom seekers attempting to cross the torrent of the Niagara River. Harriet Tubman, Joe Bailey, and other freedom seekers crossed either its walk path or its train line above.

Waiters PC- African American waiters played a crucial role in the assistance of freedom seekers, especially at the luxury hotels in Niagara Falls.  This postcard represents the efforts of these waiters, such as the ones that worked at The Cataract House, and the risks they took to assist freedom seekers to Canada.

Waterfall PC- Timeless and powerful, Niagara Falls has been a tourist mecca since the early 1800s. But for many freedom seekers, including Harriet Tubman, it was the last stop before Canada.

Cataract House PC- A preeminent luxury hotel and a major center of Underground Railroad activity, the Cataract House Hotel is the site of many freedom seeker's stories we tell at the Heritage Center. John Morrison, long time head waiter at the Cataract House, personally took many freedom seekers from the hotel to Canada.

All postcards measure 6”x 4”.
