John MorrisonJohn Morrison was the famed headwaiter at the Cataract House, one of the most prestigious hotels in Niagara Falls.  He led an all-black wait staff, as many of 80% of whom may have been formerly enslaved themselves. He is also personally responsible for the freedom of countless individuals, and would often row them across the Niagara River himself.

Cecilia ReynoldsCecelia Reynolds was a freedom seeker who came through Niagara Falls in 1846.  Though only 15 years old, she escaped to Canada with the help of Benjamin Holmes, and Underground Railroad agent and her eventual husband.  Later in life, she resumed contact with her former enslaver, and struck up a correspondence that is unique in Underground Railroad history.
